A Big Step Out: Holistics and Multisports

After spending 12 years dedicated and focusing on the coach development in a particular sport, BBS steps out into a world of holistic sciences.


Background

CheerConditioning.Academy has proudly helped trained over 2000 coaches worldwide in the last seven years. Integrating Sports Science and Fitness industry know-how to improve expertise within the international cheerleading and dance industry, we continues to thrive after gaining accreditation with the US Centre for Coaching Excellence.


We are incredibly proud of our accomplishments: our team of experts and administration is committed to the ongoing development of our sport, promoting excellence and safety within our sport.




Taking Body Before Skill Into the Future

Body Before Skill originally was launched in 2014 as a best-selling industry book, designed to help coaches develop a more sports-science approach to cheerleading: which in itself is a competitive acrobatic sport. It then formed the basis of our training philosophy at CheerConditioning.Academy as well as the knowledge base for our CCA Coach Certification program.


The more the project developed, the clearer it was that most of our findings and a holistic approach to sports and fitness went beyond one type of sport. After years of testing and development, we found that our unique method could be useful to an entire array of sporting activities. In 2019, the development of BodyBeforeSkill leaps out into the big wide world intending to develop and grow interest in holistic sciences.

BBS Training Model

Holistic science is an approach where instead of specialising in a particular area of exercise science or training method, we look at the body as a whole in context to its internal and external environment. Looking at all sporting activities as an expression of movement, as opposed to individual disciplines, and considering all aspects of nature and nurture for athletic development. We break down the individual elements of physical functionality all the way towards optimal performance using a sustained approach that focuses on the wellbeing of the athlete.


As the founder of the BBS Training Method, I look forward to working with our partners, trainees and sports network for the wellbeing of our coaches and athletic communities.
